Academy Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the WBSN National Women’s Snooker Academy (“the Academy”), operated by the Women’s Billiards and Snooker Network Incorporated (“WBSN Inc.”).
By enrolling in the Academy, participants agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
2. Program Overview
The Academy is delivered as a structured development program over approximately four (4) months and is designed to provide a clear pathway for women and girls to learn, develop and progress in snooker.
The program includes:

Coaching sessions delivered approximately once per fortnight
-
Structured skill development aligned with the WPBSA “White to Black” pathway
-
Practical and theoretical components designed to build confidence and consistency
Participants are expected to actively engage in all aspects of the program.
3. Training Schedule
Participants will attend coaching sessions delivered in accordance with a predetermined program schedule, held approximately once per fortnight.
Sessions will be conducted at one of the following locations:

Boronia RSL (Wednesday evenings)
-
Clayton Sports Club (Saturday mornings)
Participants are expected to attend their allocated session consistently throughout the program.
4. Participant Commitment
The Academy is designed as a structured development pathway and requires commitment outside of scheduled sessions.
Participants agree to:

Undertake, to the best of their ability, a minimum of four (4) individual practice sessions between each coaching session
-
Engage with training drills and activities provided
-
Take responsibility for their own development and progression
Failure to commit to practice may impact individual outcomes within the program.
5. Fees and Payments

All program fees must be paid in full prior to commencement unless otherwise agreed in writing
-
Fees are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of WBSN Inc.

Missed sessions are not refundable, transferable or redeemable
6. Attendance
-
Regular attendance is expected across all scheduled sessions
-
Participants must notify organisers if they are unable to attend a session
-
Ongoing non-attendance may result in removal from the program at the discretion of WBSN Inc.

7. Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to behave in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner at all times.
Participants must:
-
Treat coaches, officials and fellow participants with respect
-
Follow all venue rules and directions
-
Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive environment
WBSN Inc. reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate, without refund.
8. Equipment

Equipment may be provided for participant use throughout the program
-
All equipment remains the property of WBSN Inc. unless otherwise stated
-
Participants are responsible for the care and safe use of any equipment issued
Failure to return or care for equipment appropriately may result in replacement costs being charged.
9. Health and Safety
Participants acknowledge that:

Snooker involves physical activity requiring concentration and coordination
-
They are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to participate
-
Any relevant injuries, conditions or concerns should be disclosed prior to participation
WBSN Inc. accepts no responsibility for injury sustained during participation, except where required by law.
10. Media and Promotion
Participants consent to:

Photography and video being taken during sessions and events
-
Use of such material by WBSN Inc. for promotional, marketing and media purposes
Participants may opt out by notifying WBSN Inc. in writing prior to participation.
11. Privacy
Personal information collected will be used solely for the administration and delivery of the Academy and will not be disclosed to third parties without consent, except where required by law.
12. Under 18 Participants
Participants under the age of 18 must:

Provide written consent from a parent or guardian

Be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult where required
-
Comply with all safeguarding and child safety requirements
Parents or guardians:

Accept these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the participant
-
Acknowledge the expectations of attendance, behaviour and commitment
WBSN Inc. operates in alignment with recognised child safeguarding principles and reserves the right to enforce additional requirements to ensure a safe environment.
13. Liability
To the extent permitted by law:

WBSN Inc. is not liable for any loss, damage or injury sustained during participation

Participants take part in the Academy at their own risk
14. Program Changes
WBSN Inc. reserves the right to:
-
Adjust session times, locations or delivery format where required
-
Substitute coaches or venues if necessary
-
Make changes in the best interest of participants and the program
15. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling in the Academy, participants confirm that they:

Have read and understood these Terms and Conditions

Agree to be bound by them
