CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
(To be read in conjunction with the WBSN Tournament Terms & Conditions – Standing Document)
1. Event Authority
1.1 This tournament is conducted by Women’s Billiards and Snooker Network Incorporated (WBSN).
1.2 All participants are bound by the WBSN Tournament Terms & Conditions and WBSN policies adopted under the National Integrity Framework.
1.3 The Tournament Director retains final authority on all matters relating to the conduct of the event.
1.4 All participants must be a resident of either Australia or New Zealand
2. Venue & Daily Schedule
2.1 The venue will open at 10:00am daily.
2.2 Match play will commence at 10:30am daily.
2.3 Players are responsible for knowing when they are due to play.
3. Tournament Format
3.1 The event will commence with a Round Robin stage, progressing to a knockout stage.
3.2 All matches prior to the Quarter Finals will be:

Best of 3 frames

Timed at a maximum of 1 hour and 30 minutes
3.3 Quarter Finals and Semi Finals will be:

Best of 5 frames

Untimed
3.4 The Final will be:

Best of 7 frames

4. Match Clock & Timed Match Procedure
4.1 Match Clock
4.1.1 The match clock will commence once both players are present and ready to play.
4.1.2 The match clock will be stopped only for:
-
Table re-setting between frames
-
A player toilet break
-
Any matter the Tournament Director deems appropriate
4.1.3 The clock will restart immediately when play resumes.
4.1.4 Players must not deliberately delay play. Time-wasting may result in penalties under WBSN Tournament Terms & Conditions.
4.2 Expiry of Time – Best of 3 Matches
4.2.1 When the 1 hour and 30 minute time limit expires:
-
Play will cease at the completion of the current shot.
-
The player leading on points in that frame at the time of expiration will be awarded the frame. In the event of a tie, the frame will be decided under the Black Ball procedure below.
4.2.2 If time expires during the second frame:
-
The player leading in that frame will be awarded the frame.
-
If this results in each player having won one frame, a deciding frame will be played under the Black Ball procedure below.
4.3 Black Ball Decider Procedure
4.3.1 A coin toss will determine choice of break.
4.3.2 The cue ball will be played in-hand within the D.
4.3.3 The frame will end when the black ball has been legally potted or a foul has been committed, in which case the frame will be awarded to the non-offender.
5. Refereeing
5.1 During the Round Robin stage, players are expected to referee their own matches competently and in good faith.
5.2 Roving referees will be available to assist with:

Rules clarification
5.3 WPBSA rules of snooker apply throughout, except for time limits (4.2 above), Awarding of a Frame (5.4 below) and Foul and a miss (5.5 below).
5.4 A frame is declared over when, at the completion of the player’s visit, the difference in the scores is equal to, or greater than, the total value of the colours remaining (no red balls) on the table Plus 10 points.
5.5 A maximum of two (2) Foul and a Miss calls may be applied to any single shot attempt. On the third unsuccessful attempt at the same shot, only a Foul will be called.
6. Match Readiness & Penalties
6.1 A player not ready to commence at the scheduled match time will be penalised one (1) frame.
6.2 If a player is not present within fifteen (15) minutes of the scheduled start time, the match will be declared a forfeit.
6.3 Tournament officials retain discretion in exceptional circumstances.
7. Dress Code
7.1 Standard Event Dress (All Days Prior to Final Day)
The dress standard for all matches prior to the final day is:

Collared polo-style shirt

Dark plain dress pants or skirt (below the knee)

Black shoes (clean and neat)
Sponsorship branding is permitted. Players are requested to keep decorative elements to a minimum and maintain a neat, professional appearance.
7.2 Final Day Dress
As the final day of the tournament likely to be televised, all players competing on the final day must adhere to the following dress code:

Long-sleeved collared dress shirt

Waistcoat
-
Tailored dark plain dress trousers or skirt (below the knee)

Dark dress shoes
Players must present in a neat, professional, and broadcast-appropriate manner while in the playing arena.
8. Media & Promotion
8.1 The event may include photography, live scoring, streaming, and media coverage.
8.2 By entering, open age players consent to the use of their name, image, and match footage for promotional purposes in accordance with WBSN policies.
9. Conduct & Integrity
9.1 All players must conduct themselves in accordance with WBSN policies adopted under the National Integrity Framework.
9.2 Unsporting conduct, abuse, harassment, deliberate disruption of the tournament, or failure to comply with official directions may result in disciplinary action, including disqualification.
10. Amendments
10.1 WBSN reserves the right to amend scheduling, format, or operational procedures where required to ensure fairness, safety, and successful delivery of the event.
