WBSN Tournament Terms & Conditions

(Standing Document – applies to all WBSN-sanctioned events)

 

Host Organisation: Women’s Billiards and Snooker Network Incorporated (WBSN)

Participation in any WBSN-sanctioned tournament is conditional upon acceptance of these Tournament Terms & Conditions and compliance with WBSN policies adopted under the National Integrity Framework.

1. Governance & Integrity

1.1 All WBSN tournaments are conducted under the governance of Women’s Billiards and Snooker Network Incorporated.
1.2 WBSN has adopted the National Integrity Framework, which underpins all WBSN competitions, events, and activities.
1.3 All participants must comply with WBSN policies implemented under the National Integrity Framework, including safeguarding, member protection, and behavioural standards.

2. Eligibility

2.1 All WBSN tournaments are open only to female participants

2.2 Other eligibility criteria for participation in WBSN events will be specified in the relevant Event Regulations.
2.3 WBSN reserves the right to request proof of age or identity.
2.4 Entries may be refused, cancelled, or revoked where eligibility requirements are not met or where integrity concerns arise under the National Integrity Framework.

3. Entries

3.1 Entries must be submitted in accordance with the published Event Regulations.
3.2 Entry fees must be paid at time of entry, unless otherwise approved by WBSN.
3.3 Entries are not transferable without written approval from WBSN.
3.4 WBSN reserves the right to accept or decline entries at its discretion.

 

4. Tournament Format & Scheduling

4.1 Match formats, time limits, and scheduling will be outlined in the relevant Event Regulations.
4.2 WBSN may amend formats or schedules to ensure fairness, safety, or event integrity.
4.3 All matches will be conducted under recognised rules adopted by WBSN and consistent with integrity standards.

 

5. Dress Code

5.1 Dress requirements will be specified in the Event Regulations.
5.2 Players to comply with all dress standards while competing, unless otherwise approved by WBSN or tournament official.
5.3 Failure to comply may result in penalties or disqualification.

 

6. Conduct & Behaviour

6.1 All participants must conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner.
6.2 Behaviour must align with the values and expectations set out under the National Integrity Framework.
6.3 Harassment, discrimination, abuse or bullying will not be tolerated and may incur reactions.
6.4 Breaches may result in sanctions or referral under WBSN integrity processes.

7. Safeguarding & Minors

7.1 WBSN is committed to safeguarding children and young people in line with the National Integrity Framework.
7.2 Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult at all times unless otherwise approved by WBSN.
7.3 All participants must comply with WBSN’s Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy:

7.4 Safeguarding concerns must be reported in accordance with WBSN integrity procedures.

8. Media & Promotion

8.1 Participants and their guardians acknowledge that names, images, and likenesses may be used for WBSN promotional and media purposes, unless applying for an exemption.
8.2 Media activity must comply with integrity and safeguarding standards.

9. Sponsorship & Commercial Alignment

9.1 Participants must not engage in conduct that brings WBSN or its partners into disrepute.
9.2 Commercial conflicts may be managed or restricted in accordance with integrity principles.

10. Health & Safety

10.1 Players are responsible for their own physical readiness to compete.

 

11. Withdrawals, Refunds & Cancellations

11.1 Withdrawal and refund conditions will be outlined in Event Regulations.
11.2 WBSN reserves the right to cancel or modify events where required.

 

12. Decisions & Enforcement

12.1 Tournament officials have full authority to enforce these Terms & Conditions.

 

13. Amendments

13.1 WBSN may amend these Terms & Conditions to maintain safety, fairness, and integrity.
13.2 Updated versions will be published on the WBSN website and members will be notified in writing.
