Snooker Tournament Reaches Capacity

The Women’s Billiards and Snooker Network Incorporated is pleased to announce that the Capital Guard WBSN $20,000 Snooker Tournament has officially reached capacity, with all 32 player positions now filled.
The level of interest in this event has been remarkable. To achieve a full field more than two months before the tournament begins highlights the growing strength of women’s snooker across Australia and New Zealand and reinforces the need for more opportunities at all levels of the sport.
As the largest prize money offering in Australian women’s snooker history, this tournament was created to provide meaningful opportunities for female players while demonstrating what can be achieved when people are prepared to invest in the future of women’s cuesports.
While the tournament field is now full, registrations remain open for the standby list. Player withdrawals can occur between now and August, and any available positions will be offered to players on the standby list in the order registrations are received.
If you would like to be added to the standby list, please complete the registration form here:
This tournament is just one part of a broader vision being delivered by the Women’s Billiards and Snooker Network Incorporated. Through initiatives such as the WBSN National Women’s Snooker Academy, workshops, participation programs and major events, we are committed to creating pathways, increasing participation and raising standards for women throughout Australia and New Zealand.
To every player who entered, every sponsor who supported the vision, and every volunteer who has contributed along the way, thank you. We look forward to welcoming everyone to what promises to be a historic event in August 2026.
